The Electromagnetic Spectrum Machine demonstrates that
white light is made from all the colors of the rainbow. It uses a 50 watt
Solux full spectrum lamp and a hand made acrylic prism to produce a visual
light spectrum as pictured below.

This
image is representation of that part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is
visible with the human eye. On the top of the image are the longer wave
length colors of red and orange. The colors move through yellow and green to
the blue shorter wave lengths on the bottom.
